Golf Courses
CYC JR Golf is divided into two divisions, 5th and 6th grade and 7th and 8th grade. Grades are separated as best possible (sometimes grades will be combined) but 5th and 6th grade will always stay together and 7th and 8th grade will always stay together.
The 5th and 6th graders will only play par 3 courses and will have two (2) hours to complete their rounds. The 7th and 8th graders play regular full-length courses, usually the front 9, and will have two and a half (2.5) hours to complete their rounds.
Course Reminders
It is important to arrive at the course and check-in with our On-Course Coordinators 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR TEE TIME. Use the extra time before you tee off to warm up by visiting the putting green. or use the time to double-check your bag to make sure you have enough balls and tees, etc. Closer to the tee times, the On-Course Coordinators will begin to fill unused tee times with substitutes on a first-come-first-served basis. If a golfer does get to join late, they will receive a max score for all holes that were missed (you cannot go back and play the holes you missed). When the course is full we cannot accept additional players.
Weather Related
CYC South Central is now using the Rainout Line app. Install the app and stay on top of course conditions for each course and tee time. Please note that CYC South Central will play golf in the rain as long as there is no lightning. Inclement weather may not affect all tee times and all courses. That is why it is important to check the app prior to your tee time. Please note: Each course has control over the suspension of play due to weather.
